Sleeping Reindeer

Hello Everyone!

I’ve just finished painting the Christmas card I’ve made especially for the Winsor and Newton’s Christmas competition. Their Ink competition was such fun I just couldn’t resist taking part in this one :)

I wish you all happy Christmas preparations!

Watercolour and golden ink on Arches cold pressed paper.

Little Bird

Hello Everyone!!!

I hope you are all doing fine! I’ve been sick for almost two weeks now, so now that I feel a bit better, I’ve decided to paint another tiny vignette in my Delta series sketchbook. The illustration is only 9 cm high!

Please, dress warmly and take care of yourselves!!!!

Cranberry Fairy

I truly love the color of the Ink of Love by Montblanc but I was a little disappointed with its flow until I tried it in my Gamma sketchbook… there is something magical about this paper!

Toffee

I sketched this fairy with a vintage fountain pen in my Gamma series sketchbook. I used Montblanc Toffee Brown ink today, so I named her Toffee…

Puss in Boots

Doing little illustrations and vignettes really helps me relax and take a deep breath between large and complicated paintings. I still have some sketchbooks by Stillman and Birn and I thought it would be fun to fill one of them with lots of small pictures. This time I chose Delta series with lovely ivory paper but I wasn’t sure if it would be easy to work with in the technique that I use. I have to admit I do love this paper! It has enough tooth but it is also very smooth (so great for painting thin lines) and not as harsh on my sable brushes as Arches! Yay!
